Excellence, dedication and
professionalism have made U.S. Army Soldiers strong for more than 239 years.
These qualities have allowed Soldiers to compete at both summer and winter
Olympic Games, since 1896. This year, 9 Soldiers will compete or coach in the Olympic
Games, and one Soldier will compete in the Paralympic games, in Sochi, Russia.
The Soldiers competing in these games represent the best of the Army, and the
best of the nation.
